One of our favorite couples stopped by for dinner, and the Missus cooked up a winner — manicotti, salad with homemade dressing, white beans and brussel sprouts. She’s the only person I know who can make brussel sprouts appealing. Everything was delicious, but the conversation was spicy, too. It was over-the-top outrageous, and touched on topics far too crazy to summarize here.
Spaghetti Os for dinner! And no, I’m not 7. This meal cost me all of $1, since they were on sale the last time I went to the grocery store. My wife can roll her eyes at me all she wants, but this meal was frugal and delicious.
Turkey sandwich on wheat, with mayo and American cheese. Baked nacho cheese Doritos and a cup of strawberry yogurt. And a can of Coca-cola (unpictured)! Happy Hump Day.
Two flour tortillas toasted with deli turkey and American cheese. Then, once they were properly warmed, I added tomato, lettuce and ranch dressing. And a side of carrots and a coffee cup of orzo, garbanzo beans and dill. Tasty and cheap.
Had one of our favorite couples over for dinner, along with their twin boys. The Missus had the brilliant idea to fashion a create-your-own-pizza bar in our kitchen. I made a good ol’ fashioned pepperoni jobby, and it was GOOD. Yum.
A healthy, home cooked meal of pasta and arugula with grilled chicken and pecorino cheese.
