FOODonFILM: A timeless classic of Saturday Night Live history — Crystal Gravy. (For those too young to remember, it was making fun of Crystal Pepsi, which lasted about as long Conan O’Brien on The Tonight Show. (One glaring difference: I miss Conan.)
FOODonFILM: If you don’t like the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” my heart goes out to you. You must be a very unhappy insane person.
The songs are great, and there are super-creepy lines like: “Just like Willy Wonka was born to be a candy man, and you look like you were born to be a Wonkerer.”
FOODonFILM: The greatest intro to a movie ever — Mastadon’s epic metal welcome to viewers of Aqua Team Hunger Force’s “Colon Movie Film for Theaters.”
By the way, I’m going to start a band called “Linoleum Knife.” Who’s in?
FOODonFILM: In case you needed proof about how crazy Chicago is for hot dogs, here’s a clip of the late night crowd at “The Weiner’s Circle.”
FOODonFILM: If these chocolates come with a cream filling, count me out.
FOODonFILM: This probably says a lot about me, but this scene from “Almost Heroes” cracks me up. That being said, I also love stories with “clever twists.”
