Spaghetti O’s and a turkey sandwich on white bread. I have no regrets. In fact, I’m proud.

Spaghetti O’s and a bologna sandwich

Oh, irony. The Missus had the last two days off due to the blizzard. I, of course, had to work extra hard to report on the storm’s aftereffects for my newspaper.

Friday, she was back to work. Me? I got a comp day from all that extra time I put in trudging through the white flakey stuff. So I used the opportunity to treat myself to a guilty pleasure.

Spaghetti O’s and a bologna sandwich.

To make things a little more childish, I took the remants of a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos, which had been turned to chip-dust, and sprinkled it over the Spaghetti O’s.

Heaven!

FOODonFILM: A commercial from back when Spaghetti-Os really WERE “a terrific lunch for kids.” You know, before they were a potential health hazard.

Spaghetti O’s and bologna sandwich

Don’t be alarmed. This meal is not a desperate cry for help. I just had a man-sized craving for some kid-food. Big deal. Seriously. Why are you crying?

I’ll tell you what, some people might consider this “embarrassing,” but I just call it tasty. Although, I preferred Spaghetti O’s when they were made by Franco-American, not Campbell’s. They’re just not the same now. But those lil meatballs are still amazingly good, even though they’re remarkably testicle-sized.

Wait a second. OK. NOW I’m starting to see what you’re saying.

This meal was a huge mistake.
