More Thanksgiving leftovers. I think this is just about the end of it. Thank goodness.

Thanksgiving! We had about 20 people over for dinner. Way too much food, but everything was amazing. Turkey, potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, everything you could think off. (Except for a cheese-covered cauliflower, but that’s OK. I never eat those things anyway.)

And the pie! Oh, the pie! There were 10 different pies to choose from. I originally had a slice of the coconut cream pie, which is the Missus’ best, in my opinion, but had a piece of the cherry pie later in the evening.

Some appetizers for people to enjoy before the bird is unveiled at our annual Orphan Thanksgiving party. Some deviled eggs, veggies and a killer punch from our neighbors up the street.

Thanksgiving!

As my grandmother used to say, “Oh my goodness gracious.”

The Missus and I hosted a Thanksgiving feast at our house for our friends who couldn’t make it out of town to visit their families. (Or, in some cases, for people who preferred spending the holiday with us!) We had about 24 people, all told. It was kind of insane, because we easily could have fed 50.

I’ll start out with one of the pre-feast appetizers, the deviled eggs. I heard a few people regretting how many appetite-killing eggs they had before dinner. I had probably three of these, and it didn’t seem to stop me from mowing down the turkey later.

Speaking of turkey, check out this 20-pound bird the Missus cooked:

I didn’t even get to half the dishes that were served, sadly. Check out my plate, complete with turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn casserole, potato casserole, stuffing (which may have had more booze than the wine I was drinking…) and brussel sprouts.

I didn’t have much seconds. Why? Because we had nearly a 1-to-2 pie/human ratio. And dessert is the part of the meal I’m most thankful for. These aren’t even all of them!

We sent as many people home with stuffed-full tupperware as possible, but we still have a fridge brimming with leftovers. I’ve got my work cut out for me.
