Turkey sandwich on white and some Ruffles. Trying to get back into the swing of work after a relaxing four-day weekend.
A quickie turkey sandwich to tide me over until dinner. I believe this is cajun-rubbed chicken from the local grocer’s butcher counter. A simple sandwich can go a long way.
I skipped breakfast this morning, so I needed to make up for it at lunch. Made a toasted turkey SuperSandwich, using all the fixins leftover from our weekend barbecue. American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion. I usually go bare-bones on my lunch sandwiches, so this was a shock-and-awe attempt to wow my mouth. Also: Red grapes and Aldi store-brand spicy salsa-flavored corn chips.
The Missus whipped up a toasted turkey sandwich as we prepared for a little afternoon barbecue birthday celebration.
Is that another bologna sandwich, like I’ve been eating nonstop for lunch lately?
No! It’s TURKEY. And it’s refreshing. Variety really is the spice of life. I forgot how good a simple turkey-on-white bread can be. Just some thinly sliced tomato and a schmear of mayonnaise. And some Ruffles.
I’m trying to save money, can you tell? A thrifty bowl of store-brand Italian style wedding (with meatballs) soup and a hastily cobbled together turkey sandwich on thumb-impressed white bread. There is no shame in this.
